Canada regulates fossil collection and export through provincial and federal heritage laws. Each province has different rules. Alberta requires a disposition certificate. Export of significant fossils may require federal permits.
The Four-Block Rule β dinosaur fossils from these countries cannot be legally sold without government authorization. Each has national laws classifying fossils as cultural property.

Fossil ownership, collection, and disposition rules vary by province and territory. Separate provincial authorization questions from Canada's federal cultural-property export controls. Canadian Heritage lists fossils recovered from Canadian soil or waters in Group I of the Export Control List when the applicable age, value, and category thresholds are met; controlled objects require an export permit.
Country alone is not enough. Require the province or territory, collection authorization, disposition records where applicable, and an export-permit determination.
Canadian fossils on Jurassic Depot require provincial and federal compliance documentation where applicable.
Sellers must disclose province and provide applicable provincial and federal permits.
