Consignment Intake Standards

Jurassic Depot is defining how future fossil collection consignments should be reviewed. This page is not a live consignment offer and does not publish final fees or handling terms.

Describe the collection

Start with item types, quantity, known origin, ownership history, condition, and whether any records already exist.

Organize documentation

Gather invoices, collection cards, transfer notes, export/import records, restoration details, and prior catalog references where available.

Flag sensitive items

Higher-value, vertebrate, cross-border, restored, culturally sensitive, or unclear-origin items may need separate review.

Wait for review scope

Do not ship anything or assume acceptance until Jurassic Depot confirms the review path and terms in writing.

Important limits

— Consignment handling, storage, photography, shipping, insurance, escrow, auction management, and fee terms are not public final offers
— Collection review does not guarantee acceptance, publication, sale, valuation, authentication, or legal clearance.
— Items with missing source history, unsupported claims, unclear ownership, or unresolved movement records may be rejected or returned for more information.
— Any final fee, shipping, storage, insurance, or payout terms should be shown before a consignor accepts them.

Before requesting consignment review

Prepare photos, a basic inventory, source notes, ownership records, condition disclosures, restoration details, and any prior sale or transfer paperwork. Do not create history that is not documented.
