— We only accept legally collected specimens with clear provenance.
— Mongolia, China, Brazil, Argentina-origin fossils cannot be accepted without government export authorization.
— This is not a sale — it's a donation for public education.
— We verify provenance before accepting any specimen.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a tax deduction?

Jurassic Depot is not a 501(c)(3). You may be able to deduct the donation to the receiving institution if they have nonprofit status. We can help connect you with qualified institutions.

What happens to donated fossils?

They go to schools, museums, or educational programs. We prioritize institutions that make fossils accessible to students and the public.

Can I donate a replica or cast?

Yes — high-quality casts are excellent for classroom handling specimens.

What if my fossil is from a restricted country?

We cannot accept fossils from Mongolia, China, Brazil, or Argentina without verifiable government export authorization. This protects both you and us.
