Required support before listing
Maker name or documented maker attribution when a maker claim is used.
Support for any claimed tribal affiliation, enrollment, certification, or artisan status.
Clear distinction between Native-made, Native-style, vintage, replica, unsigned, unattributed, and inspired-by descriptions.
Permission or appropriate documentation before using a maker identity, tribal name, or affiliation as a sales claim.
Plain disclosure when the maker is unknown or the piece is only described by style, region, material, or age estimate.
Not allowed
Using a tribe name as a keyword when the maker connection is not documented.
Calling an item Indian-made, Native-made, tribal, or Indigenous-made without support.
Hiding uncertainty in fine print while using protected identity claims in the title or headline.
Presenting Native-style or tourist-market work as authenticated tribal work.
Using illustrative guesses as proof of maker identity, tribal affiliation, or cultural origin.
Marketplace review actions
Require title and description changes before publication.
Remove unsupported maker, tribe, or affiliation claims.
Ask for documentation before allowing protected identity language.
Move uncertain items into neutral descriptive language.
Reject listings that cannot be corrected without misleading buyers.
